HP Aquatics is extremely
excited for Coach Rob Parker to take over the role of head
senior coach. Rob comes to us from western Michigan, where he
was the Head Coach of the Byron Center Dawgs
Swim Team.
Rob began swimming competitively
at the age of 4 for an age group summer swim league, by the age of
8 he started swimming USS for Birmingham Bloomfield Atlantis.
While swimming under BBA, Rob competed at the State championship
meet every year until he stopped swimming for BBA after his
freshman year of high school. Through high school he competed
in the High School State championship meet his sophomore, junior,
and senior years in individual events and relays. Rob was named as
a captain both his junior and seniors years on the team. Rob has
also been named an All American in 4 separate relays during his
high school tenure. During high school Rob also competed in Water
Polo where he was also the captain his senior year and named to the
All State team his senior year.
Through high school, Rob worked
for his high school swim coach as a manager/instructor for his
summer swim lesson business. After managing the business for 6
years Rob decided to pursue coaching. He was hired as the Head
USS coach and assistant age group coach for the Byron Center
Dawgs. After a year with the team Rob took over as the Head
coach for the entire organization. While coaching the team Rob
took swimmers to both the short course and long course State
championship meets both years.
Rob attended Grand Valley State
University where he competed as a varsity swimmer all 4
years. He graduated from GVSU in April 2009 with a Bachelors
of Science degree in Physical Education and minor in Health
Education.

Danny Weinberg
Head Age Group Coach

HPAC
is very proud to have Danny take over the role of Head Coach in
charge of the age group swimmers. Danny has been a coach for
HPAC since the club began in 2007. Before beginning at HPAC,
he was a four year varsity member and a two year captain of the
HPHS swim team, having been coached by Coach Sirois for three of
those years. Danny also played water polo in high school, and
briefly in college. He is currently the JV boys water polo
coach at HPHS as well as an assistant coach for the HP girls
swim team. Danny recently graduated from Northwestern
Univesity where he received a Bachelors of
Science degree in Seconday Education. He plans
to someday teach high school as well as continue his coaching
career.
As a
coach Danny has already coached several swimmers who have made ISI
regional and state championship cuts. Having been a part of HPAC
from the very beginning, Danny is extremely proud of the growth and
progress the club has made. He is excited to watch the
continued improvement of all current swimmers and is looking
forward to working with these swimmers and many new swimmers in the
future!

Timothy John Sirois
Volunteer Coach

Tim is
the founder of the HP Aquatics Club. He is an
ASCA Level 3 coach. He has been coaching for 20+
years, in a variety of positions. For the past 8 years,
he has coached at Highland Park High School, with both the
Men’s and Women’s programs. Tim is currently the
head coach of the HPHS Men’s team and is very proud
of the progress the team has made over the past 4 years. Tim
has had the privilege of coaching high school All-Americans,
IHSA State medalists, and numerous ISI JO and Senior
Championship qualifiers, as well as athletes who have continued
their swimming careers at the NCAA Division I
level.
Tim is
enthusiastic about the opportunities that HPAC brings to the
Highland Park community. He is a strong believer in using swimming as
a vehicle to teach character, integrity and a strong work ethic to
his athletes. As a high school teacher at HPHS, he views the
pool as a classroom for teaching our swimmers valuable
life-skills.
His love
of the sport is surpassed only by his love for his family. He
is the proud father of 5: Kelly, Steven, TJ, Danielle and
Natalie.

Regina Topf
Assistant Coach

Regina grew up in
Orland Park, IL where she swam competitively beginning in
5th grade. She swam for Palos Orland Swim Association
and Carl Sandburg High School. She also played 4 years of Water
Polo, all on Varsity. She was captain of both the swimming and
water polo teams as a senior. She was also recognized as a Top 10
Senior Athlete in her high school graduating class in 2001. While
in high school, Regina started teaching private and group swim
lessons.
In college at
University of Iowa, she played on the Club Water Polo team where
she helped a newly-developed become more recognized within the Big
10. She also life guarded, taught swimming lessons and swam for a
Master’s Swim Club in Iowa City. Regina earned her degree in
Exercise Science with a specialization in Athletic
Training.
While preparing for
her National Athletic Training Board exams, she worked at a fitness
club where she taught water exercise classes for those with special
needs, private swim lessons, and coached the Master’s Swim
Club. She also coached the Riverside Brookfield Swim Club for one
year.
Regina then passed her
boards and worked full time as a certified athletic trainer for ATI
Physical Therapy. She currently still works for ATI part-time
in addition to teaching physical education and coaching water polo
at Oak Park and River Forest High School. She is very excited to be
a part of this swim club!
